Do you #FF?

For the uninitiated, #FF stands for “Follow Friday” where supposedly every Friday those in the Twitterverse recommend other people for you to follow.

But is it any use? Do you really start following these people?

If so, what prompts you to do so?

Unfortunately most people simply give a list of people with no reason to make you hit the “Follow” button.

Like ALL recommendations, they need to be genuine and authentic … You need to give people reasons to follow your recommendations; whether in the real or virtual world.

I wrote this on the way back from Cornwall … totally exhausted, but also inspired. Friday was the last day of Global Enterprise Week and I was speaking to a large group of small businesses in Cornwall.

Where’s Your Magic?

When I need some clarity on my goals and my business, there are some places that are easier than others to find it.

Living in a great big city is filled with opportunity, but sometimes there’s just not enough space to think. I find the magic in Whitstable, a beautiful little seaside village off the Kent coast in England. It’s only an hour outside of London, but its a world away … fisherman’s huts, people who smile and say hello and miles and miles of big open sky … space to breathe, think and plan. Where do you go?
